Exploration of music in dance - with Hari Sritharan

In this Workshop with Hari Sritharan, we will explore the importance of music for a dancer, how a Rāgam can set the mood and how it affects, underlines and enhances the Bhāvam or storytelling in dance.

This is the first session of a series in which we focus on the practical part of music for dancers, so gear up and come in your practice outfits 🎶💃🏻🎶

Hari Sritharan is a multi-genre singer, musician, and teacher. Since the age of three, he has received training in South Indian Carnatic music. In addition to singing, he has spent years learning percussion instruments such as the Miruthangam and drums, as well as the guitar and Nattuvangam.
In recent years, he has performed internationally, in countries including India, Sri Lanka, Canada, Germany, and France. Alongside his solo concerts, he has been accompanying dance performances as a singer since 2018.
